1. Who we are
PillRem is an application developed by an independent developer (hereinafter, "the Developer"). For inquiries, you can reach out at contactus@pillremapp.com.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PillRem, you confirm that:
- You are at least 16 years old.
- You accept these Terms and agree to comply with them.
- You have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the application. The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the application after changes are published implies acceptance of the new terms.
3. Service Description
PillRem offers the following features:
- Medication reminders: alerts and notifications for taking medication.
- Multinational scanner: reading of barcodes and DataMatrix codes for medications from more than 40 countries to automatically identify products.
- Multiple user management: ability to manage medication for several profiles (Pro feature).
- Adherence tracking: logging and statistics of doses taken and missed.
- CloudKit synchronization: data is securely synced between Apple devices via iCloud.
- Nearby pharmacies: location of nearby pharmacies (Pro feature).
- Access lock: protection via PIN or biometrics (Pro feature).
4. Free and Pro Versions
PillRem offers a free version and a Pro version. The free version includes:
- 1 user
- Unlimited medications
- Unlimited scanner
- Up to 4 doses per medication
- 7-day adherence history
The Pro version includes all features of the free version plus:
- Up to 8 users
- Full adherence tracking with historical charts
- Personalized notifications
- Real-time nearby pharmacies
- PIN and biometric protection
- Medicine cabinet history
PillRem contains no advertising in any of its versions.
5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
PillRem offers the following payment options, managed exclusively through the Apple App Store:
- Monthly subscription: automatic monthly renewal.
- Annual subscription: automatic annual renewal. Includes a 7-day free trial.
- One-time payment (lifetime): lifetime access to all Pro features with no subscription.
Subscription terms:
- Payment is charged to the user's Apple ID account upon confirming the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation can be done at any time from the App Store account settings on your device.
- No refunds are given for unused partial periods, except as established by Apple's policy and applicable law.
- Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with prior notice.
To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Transmit unsolicited advertising, spam, or malicious material.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app's servers or databases.
- Use the service for commercial, business, or resale purposes.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the application.
The PillRem application only captures data at the point of use. Simply downloading the app and keeping it on your device does not constitute use for the purposes of these Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
- PillRem is a secondary reminder tool. It should not be used as the sole means of managing your medication.
- The Developer does not guarantee that the application is free of errors or that notifications will be delivered at all times. Proper functioning depends on the device, operating system, and permissions granted by the user.
- The medication information available in the app is obtained from official public sources. The Developer makes all reasonable efforts to keep it up to date and accurate, but cannot guarantee its accuracy at all times.
- The Developer will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the application.
- This limitation of liability will survive the termination of this Agreement.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights to the PillRem application, including its code, design, brand, and content, are the exclusive property of the Developer. The user is granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license for personal use of the application.
9. Privacy and Data
The use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Health data entered into the app is stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, is synced in encrypted form via CloudKit. The Developer does not have access to this data.
10. Adverse Events
If you experience any unexpected or adverse reaction related to a medication, immediately inform your healthcare professional. PillRem is not a channel for reporting adverse events to health authorities.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute arising from the use of the application will be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
